Day 4:
As some of you already know, I am a lover of anything vintage, especially coming form the 1940's. I was watching Doctor Who today which was set in London, during the Blitz and realized how much I loved music from the 40's. I also realized how sad it is that there isn't good quality swing music anymore. Don't get me wrong I do love the music of today but it all has to be computer synchronized and messed with. One of the joys of the music from the 40's is that it was all purely man. There were no sound boards with switches on it, producers toying with the singer's voice or the background music; it was all man, plain and simple. Do you ever feel like you were born in the wrong era? I do. I love the joys of technology and women's rights of the 21st century but I also long for the slow, simplistic life of the first few decades of the 20th century. People weren't rushing all the time, things weren't messed with by computers. Yes there were hardships, that's going to come in any era but things seemed more pure and simple. If you liked someone you would go steady, you could buy ice cream for fifteen cents, and music had full orchestras with trumpets and violins. Oh how I would love to time travel.
Fashion Tip: Don't buy something you don't need because of its sale price. It's a waste of money and most likely you have two of it at home.
Famous Quote:"When we recall the past, we usually find that it is the simplest things - not the great occasions - that in retrospect give off the greatest glow of happiness." ~ Bob Hope
