Day 4:
As some of you already know, I am a lover of anything vintage, especially coming form the 1940's. I was watching Doctor Who today which was set in London, during the Blitz and realized how much I loved music from the 40's. I also realized how sad it is that there isn't good quality swing music anymore. Don't get me wrong I do love the music of today but it all has to be computer synchronized and messed with. One of the joys of the music from the 40's is that it was all purely man. There were no sound boards with switches on it, producers toying with the singer's voice or the background music; it was all man, plain and simple. Do you ever feel like you were born in the wrong era? I do. I love the joys of technology and women's rights of the 21st century but I also long for the slow, simplistic life of the first few decades of the 20th century. People weren't rushing all the time, things weren't messed with by computers. Yes there were hardships, that's going to come in any era but things seemed more pure and simple. If you liked someone you would go steady, you could buy ice cream for fifteen cents, and music had full orchestras with trumpets and violins. Oh how I would love to time travel.
Fashion Tip: Don't buy something you don't need because of its sale price. It's a waste of money and most likely you have two of it at home.

X -MEN
Day: 3
Last night I went to see X-Men First Class at our wonderful dollar movie theater. It's safe to say that it was the highlight of my week. Y'all may not know that I am a total, utter geek. Any kind of Superhero anything gets me jumping up and down with excitement. The costumes were amazing, (it is set in the 1960's) the action was most definitely thrilling, and it doesn't hurt to stare at James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender for two or three hours. I know some hardcore X-Men lovers weren't too pleased mainly because of some characters age or the way an event was shot compared to the comics; if you think about it there are so many variations of the comics and the stories are changed so much, the movie couldn't agree with everything. If you haven't already seen this fantastic movie, you must! Thank you for bearing with me in my geeky excitement.
Fashion tip: The darker the print's background is, the smaller you will look.

Almost Here
Day 2:
Good Morning and happy Friday! Today I'm going school shopping. It happens once a year, every year. I don't mind school shopping (unless its last minute) but it is always bittersweet. Bitter because it marks the end of summer and sweet because it's the beginning of a new year. Unlike most teenagers I've met, I don't mind school. I have great friends and teachers. There are times when it can be unbearably daunting and challenging but I know it's for my own good. So if you are about to start school, work hard and you'll do fine. If your out of school, enjoy it for those of us who are still in school.
Fashion tip: Bright colors bring attention to an area. Wear them only in the most flattering parts of your body.

The First Of Many
Day: 1
Hello. Welcome to my blog. I started this blog wanting to share what I love with the world. I also wanted to share a day in the life of a teenage girl. I'm aware of the stereotypes put on teenagers, but I promise we're not all like that. Hopefully you will get the opportunity to see that here. I want to be open with the people who will follow my blog, share ideas, stories, or even something I saw on TV that I think is cool. I also want you to do the same. If there are any questions or comments feel free to share. I think that pretty much says it all for the time being. I hope you all like it. Thanks!
Fashion Tip: Navy,Khaki,Brown,Black,White, and Jean are all "Neutrals" and if worn correctly can be worn with anything! :)
